Me&Team Privacy Policy
Effective date: 25 October 2026
This policy explains what information Me&Team ("we") collects through the Me&Team Chrome extension, the Me&Team web app and the Me&Team API at meand.team, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Me&Team is a task-tracking service for teams. Your workspace is run by your company (the "Company"), which invites you and decides who can see what. For the information your Company puts into Me&Team, the Company decides how it is used, and we process it on the Company's behalf.

What we collect
Account information
- Your name, email address, company, role (admin, manager or employee) and time zone.
- If you sign in with a password: a one-way hash of the password. We never store or see the password itself.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID and the email address Google confirms. We do not get your Google password, contacts or any other Google data.
Work information you or your colleagues enter
- Tasks, goals, assignments, progress updates, comments, evidence links and screenshots, and the activity history of these changes.
Sign-in and security information
- Session records (a hashed session token, when it was created and last used).
- Records of failed sign-in attempts, used to lock an account temporarily after repeated failures.
Problem reports you send
- When you use “Report a problem”, we receive what you write, the page you were on, the extension version and your browser type, plus your name, email and company if you are signed in. Only the Me&Team team can read these reports, and we use them only to fix problems.
In the Chrome extension, on your device
- Your sign-in token and a cached copy of your task list, kept in Chrome's extension storage so the New Tab opens instantly. This data stays on your device and is removed when you sign out.
We do not collect your browsing history, the pages you visit, or the content of other tabs. The extension only talks to our API at meand.team.
We do not use advertising, tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To provide the service: sign you in, show your tasks, calculate progress and keep the task history.
- To keep the service secure: detect and stop abuse, rate-limit sign-in attempts, and investigate problems.
- To send service emails, such as invitations and sign-in links.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or to build profiles unrelated to the service.
Who we share it with
- People in your Company can see the work information shared with them, according to their role.
- Service providers that run Me&Team for us, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage)
- Google, only when you choose Google sign-in
- An email delivery provider, for invitations and sign-in links
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Chrome Web Store and Google user data
The extension's use of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information received from Google sign-in is used only to sign you in.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords and tokens are stored only as hashes. Each Company's data is kept separate, and every request is checked against the signed-in user's Company.
How long we keep it
We keep account and work information while your Company uses Me&Team. To keep an honest audit trail, task history is archived rather than deleted. When an account is closed, we remove or anonymise personal details and keep only the anonymised history your Company needs. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes. Sessions expire after 7 days without use.
Your choices and rights
- You can sign out at any time. In the extension, this removes the cached data from your device.
- You can ask your Company admin, or us at privacy@meand.team, to see, correct, export or delete your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law.
Children
Me&Team is a workplace tool and is not meant for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. For significant changes, we will also let users know in the app.
